It had been raining for several days at Kalmar but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Velcrofly found a gap and took the lead. Great Horsetail followed before Blue Moon Warrior. When the startcar left the field First Shift started to galop and lost 30 m.

The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced. driver couldn't keep Velcrofly to trotting so they were disqualified.

Winner's Choise looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Blue Moon Warrior couldn't come out from behind the leader, Cartoon Figure Fred.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Palemas Silverheart followed by Blue Moon Warrior and Cartoon Figure Fred. Lane two Great Horsetail followed by Winner's Choise and Front Scout.

Palemas Silverheart were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.

Winner of todays race was Winner's Choise. Great Horsetail came in second. First Shift became third.
