One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Cateline was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. Boreal's Badboy Jazzy was to tense at the start and galloped for 40 m.

This is the positions after 500m. Winston, Bibi Ocean, Ideal Ligneries, Pompei, Active Thinking, Boreal's Badboy Jazzy, Gold Pirate, Gair I Gall.

Gold Pirate looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Active Thinking couldn't come out from behind the leader, Winston.

With only a little left of the race Cateline galoped for 40 m. Gair I Gall looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Ideal Ligneries couldn't come out from behind the leader, Active Thinking.

Gair I Gall sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
