The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Lappeenranta this day.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Aurore Royale found a gap and took the lead. Clueless followed before Denisse.




Aurore Royale was in fine shape and held the lead.




No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.




Starshine Darkness looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m.



Denisse showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping. Wimpy Pearl was disturbed and galopped for 40 m. Starshine Darkness kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.






Starshine Darkness kept the speed the whole finish and won before Pietje and Aurore Royale.
