One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Heavy Thinking could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




Slangen saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.




Ettore took the lead after 1000m. Heavy Thinking didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.




Opposing Lilac accelerated after 1500m and took the lead.




Opposing Lilac was still in the lead after 2000m.



Carlos Montana speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch.

Ettore galopped for 40 m on the homestretch.




Carlos Montana didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
