Only a few clouds could be spotted on the sky this day. Vaasa track was in top-condition. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Chantal found a gap and took the lead. Gonzo Jellybelly followed before Giggling Wind. Chantal was to tense at the start and galloped for 50 m. The leader couldn't hold the lead and Panzanella sprinted to the front. Opstille showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping. Panzanella was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead. Panzanella was still in the lead after 1500m. Panzanella sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch. Panzanella galoped way to long and was disqualified. Giggling Wind won the race after a spectacular finish. Results
