One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





August was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. Quick Action was to tense at the start and galloped for 40 m.




Baumstark quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. A bird flew just in front of Baumstark who started to galop and lost 10 m.




Christine looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Dominant Sniper couldn't come out from behind the leader, Baumstark.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Baumstark followed by G.S Hot Prince and Tricky Twister. Lane two August followed by Dominant Sniper and Quick Action.



Baumstark kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.






August sprinted over the finishline before Baumstark and G.S Hot Prince.
