Only a few clouds could be spotted on the sky this day. Solvalla track was in top-condition.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Mečíř could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.

The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced.

Mirage D'atlantique looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Ferri couldn't come out from behind the leader, Mečíř.

Mirage D'atlantique saw a chanche when the tempo dropped and could easilytake the lead. Mečíř started to gallop after 1500m and Daniel Wäjersten had to struggle to get it back in trotting.

Mirage D'atlantique didn't even look tired after 2000m and sat safely in the lead.

With only a little left of the race Ferri galoped for 40 m. Mirage D'atlantique were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.

Mečíř won. Ferri came in second. Mirage D'atlantique caught third place.
