One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Mitezoya tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Corky that came steaming ahead.




Ir-reġina quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.




Mai Sufficiente looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Corky couldn't come out from behind the leader, Ir-reġina.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Ir-reġina followed by Corky and Molnár. Lane two Mai Sufficiente followed by Mitezoya and Qwerty.




Ir-reġina kept the speed up and no one had a chance to take over the lead.



Ir-reġina sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.

Agnes Larsson tried a little too much on the homestretch and Qwerty started to galopp and lost 40 m.




Mai Sufficiente sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
