One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Punching Frenzy could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




Punching Frenzy was in fine shape and held the lead.




Sowing Spring looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Light Cup couldn't come out from behind the leader, Punching Frenzy.




Sowing Spring looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m.




Sowing Spring kept the speed up and no one had a chance to take over the lead.



Sowing Spring sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.
