It had been raining for several days at Åby but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Tropical Orchid could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.

Inkas Mara saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.

Zalaffi took the lead after 1000m. Equalizer didn't have a good time being caught on the outside. Heavenly Dream suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 30 m.

Zalaffi didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
