One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Neon Sun could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.




Phony Pony quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m. Neon Sun started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.




Neon Sun took the lead after 1000m. Loretta didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Neon Sun followed by Tripping Cupcake and Loretta. Lane two Sir Kenny Dalglish De Sticky followed by Slum Lord and Phony Pony. Phony Pony showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.




Neon Sun kept the speed up and no one had a chance to take over the lead.



Sir Kenny Dalglish De Sticky was first on the homestretch followed by Neon Sun and Tripping Cupcake.
