The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Skellefteå this day.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Sonnenschein sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead. When the startcar left the field Close Sound started to galop and lost 10 m.




There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark.




No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Sonnenschein today. It continued in the lead.



Sonnenschein kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.






Close Sound won the race after a spectacular finish.
