One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Bite Back took the lead after a very quick start.




There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark.




Silver Needle looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Kookpunt couldn't come out from behind the leader, Bite Back.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Bite Back today. It continued in the lead.



Kookpunt suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.






Winner of todays race was Kookpunt. Silver Needle came in second. Bite Back became third.
