The weather had been good all week and Oulu was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Ace Ventura Superior was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead.




This is the positions after 500m. Duro Creer, Rainbow Amazon, Scarlet Hollywood, Biddle Trick, Cunning Snake, Ace Ventura Superior, Barefoot Jewel, Herrhagens Mariner. Herrhagens Mariner galloped for 60m and was disqualified. Panzanella galloped way to long and was disqualified.




Biddle Trick looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Rainbow Amazon couldn't come out from behind the leader, Duro Creer.




Biddle Trick saw a chanche when the tempo dropped and could easilytake the lead. Scarlet Hollywood galloped for 60m and was disqualified.




Biddle Trick didn't even look tired after 2000m and sat safely in the lead.



Ace Ventura Superior was disturbed and galopped for 30 m. Barefoot Jewel speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch.






Duro Creer sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
