One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Hurricane Gilbert tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Electric Cookie that came steaming ahead. When the startcar left the field Van Der Weijden started to galop and lost 40 m. Silver Duchess was to tense at the start and galloped for 30 m.

Columbus Pegasos quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.

Electric Cookie sprinted past the competitors and took over the lead.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Electric Cookie followed by Hurricane Gilbert and Frozen Runaway. Lane two Carlos Kairo followed by Schneller Reden and Van Der Weijden.

Electric Cookie sat safely in the lead after 2000m.

Electric Cookie were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.

Carlos Kairo sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
