It had been raining for several days at Lapua but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Hartmans Law tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Skumtomte Opal that came steaming ahead. Harri Koivunen wanted a little to much in the start and Skumtomte Opal galoped for 40 m.




Jolly Light Law saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.




The leader got disturbed by something and Old Energy took the lead rather easily.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Old Energy followed by Lucky Heat and Jolly Light Law. Lane two Hartmans Law followed by Skumtomte Opal and .



Old Energy sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.






Old Energy didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
