One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Troyes could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. So Dope was to tense at the start and galloped for 10 m.




The leader couldn't hold the lead and Nightdancer sprinted to the front. Clovis started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.




So Dope looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Troyes couldn't come out from behind the leader, Nightdancer.



Nightdancer looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Powerful Valley couldn't come out from behind the leader, So Dope.






Powerful Valley won. So Dope came in second. Troyes caught third place.
