The weather had been good all week and Bollnäs was in good shape. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Spontané. Gasol ended up behind the leader. Compagno got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two. Gasol suddenly started to galop. Kim Moberg had to struggle to get Gasol to tror again and succeded after 10 m. Spontané was in fine shape and held the lead. No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo. Spontané was still in the lead after 1500m. Compagno litterally flew through the last bend and was first on the homestretch. Tempting Star galopped for 40 m on the homestretch. Gasol won the race after a spectacular finish. Results
