The sun was shining on Eskilstuna and it was a perfect day for trotting. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Għant was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. When the startcar left the field Cheerful Frenzy started to galop and lost 10 m. Blodsed Ameste saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead. Rienks started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified. A bird flew just in front of Kvarngärdets Giant Marigold who started to galop and lost 30 m. No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo. Għant accelerated after 1500m and took the lead. Blodsed Ameste suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead. Sizzli Cherry was disturbed and galopped for 30 m. Kvarngärdets Giant Marigold made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before Blodsed Ameste. Results
