One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Tripaldelli sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead. Alessandro Gocciadoro wanted a little to much in the start and Tripaldelli galoped for 10 m.




Tripaldelli was in fine shape and held the lead.




Maceo looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Front Frenzy couldn't come out from behind the leader, Tripaldelli.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Tripaldelli today. It continued in the lead.



With only a little left of the race Tripaldelli galoped for 40 m. Tripaldelli were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.






No-one could catch Tripaldelli today who won before Maceo and Front Frenzy.
