One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Dixi Opal tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Strong Box that came steaming ahead.




Dixi Opal saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.




No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.

The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Dixi Opal galop. Dixi Opal lost 10 m.
