It had been raining for several days at Lappeenranta but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Chip Trot was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead.




There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark.




Chip Trot was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Chip Trot today. It continued in the lead. Something caused a disturbance in the field and Snowy Universe gallopped for 30 m.



Chip Trot sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.






Chip Trot kept the speed the whole finish and won before Snowy Universe and Calymmian.
