One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Charmed Knockout could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Bagley was to tense at the start and galloped for 20 m.




Bagley quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.




Polished Work looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Wandering Drama couldn't come out from behind the leader, Bagley.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Bagley followed by Wandering Drama and Charmed Knockout. Lane two Polished Work followed by Bluestar and Common Ground.



Wandering Drama speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch.






Final standings. 1 Polished Work, 2 Bluestar, 3 Charmed Knockout.
