Only a few clouds could be spotted on the sky this day. Oviken track was in top-condition. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Scared One. Kremlin Bicêtre Law ended up behind the leader. Corky got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two. Licencia Vencer galloped way to long and was disqualified. Alessandro Gocciadoro wanted a little to much in the start and Neptune Drive Moussolou galoped for 20 m. This is the positions after 500m. Erica, Riff Opal, Jongeheer Vleug, Pomeroy, Neptune Drive Moussolou, Kremlin Bicêtre Law, Corky, Scared One. Neptune Drive Moussolou looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Pomeroy couldn't come out from behind the leader, Erica. Nothing seemed to be able to stop Erica today. It continued in the lead. Erica sat safely in the lead after 2000m. Erica were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.
