One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Advanced Wave tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Active Star that came steaming ahead.




There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark.




Sophisticated Necklace looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Advanced Wave couldn't come out from behind the leader, Active Star.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Active Star today. It continued in the lead.



Advanced Wave galloped for 60m and was disqualified. Active Star sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.






Active Star didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
