The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Halmstad this day.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Sashimi could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start.

This is the positions after 500m. Speeding Pain, Platinum Muscle, Victoria Victorias, Acapulco, Greeting Summerstorm, Sashimi, Malkin Auto, Sowing Midnight.

No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Speeding Pain followed by Sashimi and Acapulco. Lane two Malkin Auto followed by Victoria Victorias and Platinum Muscle.

Speeding Pain kept the speed up and no one had a chance to take over the lead. Sophisticated Heat was disturbed and gallopped for 30 m.

Acapulco was disturbed and galopped for 50 m. Speeding Pain kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.

Victoria Victorias was disturbed and galopped for 40 m. Sowing Midnight was disturbed and galopped for 40 m.

Sashimi sprinted over the finishline before Speeding Pain and Malkin Auto.
