Only a few clouds could be spotted on the sky this day. Åby track was in top-condition.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Falling Pony was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. When the startcar left the field Forgues started to galop and lost 40 m.




The field stabalized after the bend and the speed was reduced.




Schneidig Heftig sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Schneidig Heftig followed by Nessla Karelin and De Gea The Man. Lane two Shooting Rock followed by Falling Pony and Rebellious Night.




Shooting Rock put some pressure on the leader and could take over.



With only a little left of the race Schneidig Heftig galoped for 30 m. Nessla Karelin litterally flew through the last bend and was first on the homestretch.






Falling Pony sprinted away from the rest of the field and won quite easy.
