One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Gabbana Avenue sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead.




Suikun-ero saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead. Super Furry Animal was disturbed and galoped 30 m.




Suikun-ero was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead. Gabbana Avenue suddenly made a bad step, started to galop and lost 20 m.




Suikun-ero was still in the lead after 1500m. Omagh started to gallop after 1500m and Tapio Perttunen had to struggle to get it back in trotting.



Suikun-ero kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.






Bérangère won the race after a spectacular finish.
