It had been raining for several days at Momarken but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Merci Beaucoup found a gap and took the lead. L'ultima Curva followed before Tropical Pie. The leader couldn't hold the lead and Tropical Pie sprinted to the front. The leader got disturbed by something and Merci Beaucoup took the lead rather easily. Nothing seemed to be able to stop Merci Beaucoup today. It continued in the lead. Merci Beaucoup was still in the lead after 2000m. L'ultima Curva litterally flew through the last bend and was first on the homestretch. Atle Solhus tried a little too much on the homestretch and Merci Beaucoup started to galopp and lost 30 m. Secreterion sprinted over the finishline before L'ultima Curva and Tropical Pie. Results
