It had been raining for several days at Skellefteå but the sun was shining this day a the track was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Peroteaux tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Fontanesi that came steaming ahead. Halfway Opal suddenly started to galop. Jan Norberg had to struggle to get Halfway Opal to tror again and succeded after 40 m.

This is the positions after 500m. Halfway Opal, Lonely Sunflower, Broadband Babe, Sagittarius, Mr Head, Outspoken Judge, Pray For My Haters, Peroteaux. Fontanesi galloped way to long and was disqualified.

Broadband Babe looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Outspoken Judge couldn't come out from behind the leader, Halfway Opal.

Outspoken Judge never caught up with Halfway Opal who won. Broadband Babe came third.
