The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Eskilstuna this day.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Many drivers had set there mind on a front position this day. Fastest of them all were Criminal Bouquet. Lonnell ended up behind the leader. La Vie Noire got caught on the outside and were forced to take place as first in lane two.

Lonnell saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead. Modest Carneval showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.

Thinking Moon looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Stepping Amazon couldn't come out from behind the leader, Lonnell.

Stepping Amazon looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m. Mečíř galloped for 60m and was disqualified. Brave Admiral started to gallop after 1500m and Erik Adielsson had to struggle to get it back in trotting.

Stepping Amazon were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.

The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused La Vie Noire galop. La Vie Noire lost 50 m.

Criminal Bouquet sprinted over the finishline before Stepping Amazon and Glorious Lilac.
