Only a few clouds could be spotted on the sky this day. Åby track was in top-condition.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Thunder Champion tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Ont Près Soie that came steaming ahead. Örjan Kihlström wanted a little to much in the start and Dreaming Of Me galoped for 10 m. Thunder Champion was to tense at the start and galloped for 10 m.




This is the positions after 500m. Flower Whirlwind, Ont Près Soie, Good Badboy, Dreaming Of Me, Listening Mind, Thunder Champion, , . Thunder Champion started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.




The leader got disturbed by something and Ont Près Soie took the lead rather easily.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Ont Près Soie today. It continued in the lead.



Dreaming Of Me galloped for 60m and was disqualified. Listening Mind suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.

The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Good Badboy galop. Good Badboy lost 10 m.




Listening Mind didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
