The weather had been good all week and Halmstad was in good shape.

One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Allround Pegasos found a gap and took the lead. Confident Plan followed before Maipu.

Allround Pegasos was in fine shape and held the lead. A bird flew just in front of Les Rouge Rosier who started to galop and lost 10 m.

Maipu took the lead after 1000m. Confident Plan didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.

Nothing seemed to be able to stop Maipu today. It continued in the lead.

Maipu sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.

Les Rouge Rosier galopped for 40 m on the homestretch.

Allround Pegasos sprinted over the finishline before Maipu and Confident Plan.
