One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

Valletta Opal sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead. Stopping Cupcake was to tense at the start and galloped for 40 m.

Carpe Diem quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.

Courageous Wave looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Calming Knight couldn't come out from behind the leader, Carpe Diem.

Nothing seemed to be able to stop Carpe Diem today. It continued in the lead.

Courageous Wave speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch.

Carpe Diem galopped for 30 m on the homestretch.

Final standings. 1 Stopping Cupcake, 2 Calming Knight, 3 Courageous Wave.
