One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.

George Bush Jr found a gap and took the lead. Knight Of Sunrise followed before Teach Some Magic.

This is the positions after 500m. Abracadabra, Carambolage, Hillary, Happy Play, Lieutenant Plan, Knight Of Sunrise, George Bush Jr, Galant Hoff. Ask For Permission was disturbed and galoped 50 m.

Hillary sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead.

Standings after 1500m . Lane one Hillary followed by George Bush Jr and Abracadabra. Lane two Happy Play followed by Lieutenant Plan and Teach Some Magic.

Hillary kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch.
