One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Good Looking Mountain was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead.




This is the positions after 500m. Black Platinum, Good Looking Mountain, Shining Velvet, Dinart, Muscular Muscle, Northern Illusion, , . Northern Illusion galloped for 60m and was disqualified.




Shining Velvet looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Good Looking Mountain couldn't come out from behind the leader, Black Platinum.

Tommi Kylliäinen tried a little too much on the homestretch and Black Platinum started to galopp and lost 50 m.




Good Looking Mountain sprinted over the finishline before Shining Velvet and Dinart.
