Only a few clouds could be spotted on the sky this day. Lycksele track was in top-condition. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Amazing Cup tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Turning Wardrobe that came steaming ahead. Alberte showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galloping. When the startcar left the field Amazing Cup started to galop and lost 30 m. This is the positions after 500m. Virtual Zenith, Amazing Cup, Turning Wardrobe, Lafrenière, Platinum Angel, Strange Ways, Mirage Ameste, We Go Round. Courageous Dribbler started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified. driver couldn't keep Winston Hof to trotting so they were disqualified. Alberte was disturbed and galoped 10 m. Lafrenière looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Platinum Angel couldn't come out from behind the leader, Virtual Zenith.
