One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Starshine Wonder could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. Vezzali suddenly started to galop. Tapio Perttunen had to struggle to get Vezzali to tror again and succeded after 20 m.




This is the positions after 500m. Jolly Lemon, Eagle Bold (dk), Ilegems, Vezzali, Walking Asteroid, Stifling Grove, Spijk Z, Mr Plura. Waving Heat started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.




Jolly Lemon was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead.

The spectators cheered much on the homestretch and probably caused Vezzali galop. Vezzali lost 30 m.




Ilegems never caught up with Jolly Lemon who won. Stifling Grove came third.
