The sun was shining and the birds was singing on Åby today.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Stepping Cocktail was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead.




Glowing Duchess saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead. Stepping Cocktail showed unexperience when he was disqualified for galoping.




Wicked Wipe looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Dancing Orchid couldn't come out from behind the leader, Glowing Duchess.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Glowing Duchess today. It continued in the lead.



Glowing Duchess looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.






Wicked Wipe never caught up with Glowing Duchess who won. Kvarngärdets Ghisonaccia came third.
