One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Vlam Glorie was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead. When the startcar left the field Schuimend Ruit started to galop and lost 30 m.




Schuimend Ruit saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead. Sophisticated Dancer started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified. A bird flew just in front of Donato Winner who started to galop and lost 20 m.




Schuimend Ruit was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead. Sophisticated Dancer was disturbed and galoped 10 m.
