Walking Sunflower tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Volvoette that came steaming ahead. Volvoette was to tense at the start and galloped for 50 m.

Island Queen quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.

Volvoette looked tired after 1000m but had to keep up the tempo so that Falling Dancer couldn't come out from behind the leader, Island Queen.

Nothing seemed to be able to stop Island Queen today. It continued in the lead.

Falling Dancer was first on the homestretch followed by Island Queen and Volvoette.

Island Queen won the race after a spectacular finish.
