One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Growing Body was looking particularly good and could easily take the lead.




Growing Body was in fine shape and held the lead.




No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Growing Body today. It continued in the lead.




Growing Body was still in the lead after 2000m.



Sunday Maid suddenly found some strength when the driver removed the earpads and sprinted to the lead.

Growing Body galoped for 60m and was disqualified.




Sunday Maid didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
