The sky was free of clouds and the sun was shining at Bergen this day. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Ultimo found a gap and took the lead. Wagner followed before Twelve Year Circus. There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark. Stycket was disturbed and galoped 30 m. Ultimo was in great shape so far and looked happy in the lead. Ultimo was still in the lead after 1500m. Wagner was first on the homestretch followed by Ultimo and Stycket. Stopping Orchid galopped for 40 m on the homestretch. Ultimo won the race after a spectacular finish. Results
