One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Netherton sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead.




This is the positions after 500m. Catania, Xanthe Opal, Magic Wave, I Got Rhythm, Breaking Spring, Inkas Coloured, Curieux, Jumping Thrasher.




Breaking Spring took the lead after 1000m. I Got Rhythm didn't have a good time being caught on the outside. Inkas Coloured galoped after 1000m and lost 30 m.




I Got Rhythm looked to be in good shape this day and took the lead after 1500m.



With only a little left of the race Catania galoped for 20 m. Netherton speeded up in the last bend and was first on the homestretch.






Loving Lion never caught up with Netherton who won. Heat Miser Moussolou came third.
