One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Crossing Midnight tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Morning Sunshine that came steaming ahead.




This is the positions after 500m. Crossing Midnight, Ticking Cocktail, Umpalumpa Superior, Albatross On Fire, Morning Sunshine, Ojsan Fjärrstyrd, Tender Comet, Dolly Partons Principle Law. A bird flew just in front of Dolly Partons Principle Law who started to galop and lost 40 m.




The leader got disturbed by something and Umpalumpa Superior took the lead rather easily.




Standings after 1500m . Lane one Umpalumpa Superior followed by Crossing Midnight and Albatross On Fire. Lane two Morning Sunshine followed by Tender Comet and Ojsan Fjärrstyrd.




Umpalumpa Superior was still in the lead after 2000m.



Albatross On Fire was disturbed and galopped for 50 m. Crossing Midnight was first on the homestretch followed by Umpalumpa Superior and Morning Sunshine.






Crossing Midnight didn't even look tired on the homestretch and won the race.
