The weather had been good all week and Kokemäki was in good shape. One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track. Cruzcampo could eventually take the lead after a very dramatic start. When the startcar left the field Cruzcampo started to galop and lost 10 m. There were no mayor changes in the field at the 500m mark. No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo. Nothing seemed to be able to stop Cruzcampo today. It continued in the lead. Striking Wish started to gallop after 1500m and Santtu Raitala had to struggle to get it back in trotting. Cruzcampo sat safely in the lead after 2000m. Cruzcampo kept a high tempo and was first in on the homestretch. Dusty Heat never caught up with Cruzcampo who won. Striking Wish came third. Results
