The weather had been good all week and Mantorp was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





King Gallant tried its best to keep the lead but finally had to give in to Diggersby that came steaming ahead. When the startcar left the field Confident Body started to galop and lost 50 m. Amunt Valencia suddenly started to galop. Hans-Owe Sundberg had to struggle to get Amunt Valencia to tror again and succeded after 10 m.




This is the positions after 500m. Biancocelesti, Woodbine, Amunt Valencia, Confident Body, King Gallant, Piccinini, Netherton, Diggersby.




Woodbine sprinted past it's competitors after a 1000m and took the lead.




Netherton accelerated after 1500m and took the lead.



Netherton sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.






Woodbine won. Biancocelesti came in second. Confident Body caught third place.
