Only a few clouds could be spotted on the sky this day. Åby track was in top-condition.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Schuimend Ruit found a gap and took the lead. Carlos Jas followed before Nebukadnessar Hof. Nebukadnessar Hof was to tense at the start and galloped for 50 m. When the startcar left the field Durand started to galop and lost 30 m.




Tranquil Cake quickly put pressure on the leader and could take the lead after 500m.




No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.




Tranquil Cake was still in the lead after 1500m.



Tranquil Cake were still in the lead when they started the sprint for the finish-line.
