The sun was shining and the birds was singing on Åby today.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Prima Darkness sprinted away from the competitors and took the lead.




Maverick saw it's chance when the leader lost tempo and took the lead.




Wigwam took the lead after 1000m. Maverick didn't have a good time being caught on the outside.




Nothing seemed to be able to stop Wigwam today. It continued in the lead.




Julien suddenly took over the lead.



Julien sat safely in the lead when they started the homestretch.






Maverick made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before Pécheux.
