The weather had been good all week and Åby was in good shape.



One after another the horses came out on the track for the obigatory parade. After some warmup the horses lined up behind the car as it began to move down the track.





Lucky Mambo found a gap and took the lead. Pacemaker Puerta followed before Bright Grove.




The leader couldn't hold the lead and Silverback sprinted to the front. Bright Grove galloped way to long and was disqualified. Tricky Stardust started to galop after 500 m and was nearly disqualified.




No one seem keen on putting pressure on the leader so he could keep his own tempo.




Cunning Arraow accelerated after 1500m and took the lead.



With only a little left of the race Ice Ball galoped for 40 m. Cunning Arraow looked like a million bucks when we commenced the homestretch.






Lucky Mambo made a good sprint on the homestretch and crossed the finishline before Pacemaker Puerta.
